WHO IS STEP CANADA?

Supporting trust and estate practitioners in their pursuit of excellence.

Founded in 1998, STEP Canada
has 12 branches and chapters
nationwide.

We represent nearly 4,000 trust and estate professionals who assist families and individuals in planning for their futures.

We support our members with educational opportunities and networking events to help them grow in their careers.

We also work with governments and policymakers to improve the understanding of trusts and estates in Canada, following STEP's global standards.

STEP Canada administers the TEP designation and offers three main pathways to earn it: the STEP Canada Diploma in Trusts and Estates, the Essay Program, or Expertise Route.

The annual membership fees allow us to provide valuable benefits for our members and support our educational programs. We also offer branch and chapter seminars, the National Conference, webinars, and full-day courses.

STEP, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, is the world’s leading representative and training organization for trust and estate practitioners. The organization provides training, education, and access to a global network of over 22,000 members across 95 countries. STEP Canada is a regional branch of this global organization and upholds the high standards of STEP Worldwide to promote a better understanding of trusts and estates on a national level.
